In honor of “Mean Girls” Day, American Eagle has released a two-piece sweatshirt collection with the movie’s most iconic lines.
If the thought of writing a burn book or wearing pink on Wednesday has crossed your mind even once in the last 20 years, congratulations: You have been permanently affected by the 2004 comedy “Mean Girls.” The classic movie is one we all know and love and will probably never forget. It was based on a book by author Rosalind Wiseman titled Queen Bees and Wannabes, with the screenplay written by Tina Fey. It basically shaped the early 2000s and the phrases used in the movie are still being said to this day. American Eagle has now partnered with the film to celebrate National Mean Girls Day with a limited-edition sweatshirt.
On Oct. 3, 2023, Aaron Samuels asked Cady Heron what day it was. She said it was the day American Eagle x Mean Girls sweatshirt launched. Whether it’s Wednesday or you’re lounging on the couch watching the film, you can be comfy in this pullover made from soft cotton fleece. The crew neck comes in two colorways with a chest graphic of an iconic quote from the movie. The pink piece reads “On Wednesdays, We Wear Pink” in burn book style lettering. The black long sleeve says “That’s So Fetch” in pink lettering.
